Ceremonial harness of Royal horses of the Ancient East and Asia. For Peter Stone collectible horse figures. Manual author's work. Materials: gold-plated metal, velour, rhinestones. Samples of the harness are taken from Oriental miniatures in the museums of Samarkand , Bukhara and Baku. This harness was worn on horses on major holidays, parades, and other triumphal processions. It was all solid gold and diamonds. The rest of the time it hung on Persian carpets in the Sultan's Palace, guarded by fierce Janissaries.
